Context

Performing under constant pressure

Accenture operates in an environment where tight deadlines, large-scale transformation projects and continuous change are the norm. Consultants work on high-intensity assignments, often within hybrid settings and international teams.

The challenge is not motivation. The challenge is sustainable energy.

How do you keep people sharp under sustained cognitive load without leading to structural exhaustion?

How do you strengthen resilience without compromising performance?

The challenge

Wellbeing without a soft image

A tension often emerges within professional service organizations:

  • Results remain the top priority
  • Pressure on teams continues to increase
  • At the same time, the need for mental support is growing

Traditional initiatives such as workshops, webinars and training sessions create awareness, but lack continuity.

What was missing:

  • Individual coaching at scale
  • Real-time visibility into energy and focus
  • A system that connects wellbeing directly to performance

Not another initiative, but an integrated layer embedded within the organization.

The approach

Individual human performance support

Move To Happiness was implemented as an additional performance layer. Consultants were given access to AI coaches offering support in areas such as:

Mental focus & resilience (Mind Master).
Based on evidence-based frameworks such as JD-R, ACT and Psychological Capital.

Sleep & recovery (Snoozzz)
Data-driven guidance around recovery and energy management, including wearable integration.

Nutrition & energy (Bite Buddy).
Support in maintaining stable energy during intensive project phases.

The approach was clear:
not therapeutic, not medical,
but performance-oriented.

Voluntary. Discreet. Contextual.

Engagement as an enhancer

In addition to individual coaching, a community layer was activated around:

  • Thematic campaigns such as sleep, focus and recovery
  • Team-based activations
  • Shared moments of reflection

These were not low-commitment challenges, but behavioral activations directly connected to the real work context.

Results to date

What became visible:

  • High voluntary adoption of AI coaches
  • Recurring use during peak project periods
  • Positive feedback on the low-threshold and accessible nature of the support
  • Increased awareness of recovery and energy management

What is deliberately not claimed:

  • No direct impact on EBITDA
  • No quantified burnout reduction rates
  • No causal link between the tool and profit

In an organization of this scale, meaningful impact measurement requires time and structural integration.

The next step: human performance operating system

Accenture is exploring how to structurally strengthen human performance through dashboarding and data-driven insights.

This is where the Human Performance Operating System, HPOS, comes into play.

A framework in which:

  • Mental resilience
  • Focus
  • Recovery
  • Team dynamics

are monitored and developed as interconnected performance drivers.

are approached as strategic variables rather than peripheral themes.

The ambition is not simply more wellbeing. The ambition is predictable performance under pressure.
